Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years EHS experience, and strong data analytics. English fluency is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of EHS experience in global or regional environmental and/or chemical management.
• Deep knowledge of environmental/chemical regulations, standards, industry best practices.
• Proven ability to influence across cultures and functions.
• Experience with digital EHS, SDS systems, data analytics.
• Certifications such as CIH, COSHH, IOSH, ISO 14001 Auditor, or equivalent are a plus
• Fluent in English; additional languages welcome

Responsibilities

• Lead the global compliance programs for air emissions, wastewater discharge, waste management, chemical storage, permit requirements across operations.
• Develop and maintain global environmental standards, procedures, technical guidance, tools, aligned with Carrier EHS Operating System.
• Establish chemical management programs (chemical inventory, safety data sheets, hazard communication, chemical approvals).
• Build global capability, including tools, and training to enable execution.
• Monitor environmental and chemical emerging regulations and trends; assess impact to operations, assist with risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide expert support on complex environmental issues to regions/operations (contamination events, inspections, agency engagement).
• Oversee internal environmental data reporting; monitor KPIs to drive accountability and discipline.
• Leverage EHS data analytics and benchmarking to drive proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
• Partner with COE roles, regions, Operations, Engineering to embed compliance into business processes and drive program integration.
