Job Overview

BD is a global medical technology company dedicated to advancing healthcare worldwide. We are looking for a Chemical Compliance Lead to oversee regulatory compliance and lead a team of analysts across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess global emerging or changing chemical regulations that could impact BD’s ability to place products on the market.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct initial impact analysis and oversee status of business/region responses.
• Maintain regulation and chemical “watch lists,” track and coordinate requests for input from industry groups, government agencies and NGOs, and consolidate BD input.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on chemical regulations, ensuring internal stakeholders understand requirements and tracking progress toward relevant deadlines.
• Collect, analyze, and govern chemical regulation‑related data; complete or support submissions.
• Provide guidance, training and support on chemical regulations to global business units, functions, regions and plants.
• Lead or actively contribute to assigned chemical compliance projects.
• Develop chemical regulation‑related data and documentation for customers and suppliers.
• Ensure required software programs (e.g., REACH‑IT, IUCLID, SAP) are monitored and updated.
• Support ongoing chemical compliance processes, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
• Support ongoing data governance and associated activities.
• Lead a team of chemical compliance analysts.
