Job summary

Linklaters Poland Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw seeks an experienced GL Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, depreciation, and process improvements within the Global General Ledger function.

You will collaborate with Local Finance and Shared Service teams, ensure SLA compliance, and maintain accurate documentation while driving efficiency. This role offers opportunities to develop in a truly international firm.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in GL/SSC/BPO
• Master's Degree in Finance and Accounting or related field
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, practices and procedures
• Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, SOPs
• Office skills: SAP, Microsoft Office, MS Excel

Responsibilities

• Calculate, prepare and post journal entries for Month End Close and daily ops
• Prepare Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations (Assets and Liabilities)
• Maintain Fixed Asset Registers and post monthly depreciation
• Execute Month End Close activities per global and office policies
• Coordinate deliverables status and report to Clients
• Propose process improvements and tools automation for GL operations
• Act as first point of contact for complex GL queries from Local Finance or LGS
• Ensure service quality in daily GL operations
• Build strong relationships with Finance and Shared Service teams
• Maintain high quality process documentation
