Job summary

The Cloud People, a leading Elite ServiceNow partner, seeks a hands-on GL Accountant in Kraków to maintain accurate general ledger records and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.

You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Country Managers, and teams across the business to ensure data quality, identify risks, and continually improve finance processes, delivering timely financial information.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of general ledger or general accounting experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with an accounting/ERP system; Xledger is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Good organisational skills and ability to meet month-end deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• English at least B2, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Record financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and company procedures.
• Review and post journal entries accurately and on time.
• Process customer payments and ensure correct allocation to accounts.
• Prepare and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing entries.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Participate in monthly closing meetings with Country Managers and prepare required docs.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and maintain process documentation and drive process improvements.
• Identify potential financial or process risks and raise them with the Finance Manager.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and finance-related projects.
• Collaborate across Finance and other departments to improve processes and efficiency.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
