Job summary

Scandit POLAND is seeking a Senior Accountant, GL for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role is fully remote within Poland, handling general ledger, month-end close and intercompany activities across a multi-entity set.

You will ensure VAT compliance, statutory reporting, and collaboration with Tax, Treasury and other finance teams. Strong NetSuite and Excel skills are essential, with English fluency and hands-on process improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience in an international multi-entity environment.
• Ability to close a set of entities independently with limited handover.
• Solid VAT knowledge on cross-border EU transactions (reverse charge, intra-EU).
• Experience with statutory and management reporting across jurisdictions.
• ERP experience, preferably NetSuite, with multi-currency accounting.
• Experience with process automation projects is a plus.
• Finance/Accounting degree; fluent in English; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger for assigned entities, including fixed assets, accruals and FX revaluation.
• Lead month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and clearing open items.
• Analyze income statement and balance sheet variances for assigned entities.
• Prepare intercompany calculations and invoices.
• Prepare VAT returns and statutory reporting, and assist audit documentation.
• Review AP postings for correct coding and VAT treatment.
• Investigate unidentified bank postings and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with AP/AR/Tax/Treasury to ensure accurate accounting.
• Support NetSuite roadmap and process improvements.
