Job summary

PwC Polska invites an experienced Accounting Expert to join our Finance Managed Services. You will manage end-to-end GL processes, support month- and year-end closings, and ensure IFRS/local GAAP compliance while driving process improvements.

You will mentor juniors and collaborate with auditors in a hybrid work setup. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in GL accounting, strong IFRS knowledge, advanced Excel, and English proficiency; German is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in General Ledger accounting.
Strong IFRS/local GAAP knowledge.
Advanced Excel skills with ERP experience.
Professional working proficiency in English.
German language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end General Ledger accounting processes, including complex journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve aged items.
Serve as subject matter expert for GL accounting, guiding the team and stakeholders.
Ensure IFRS/local GAAP compliance and internal policies.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive improvements.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Mentor junior team members and participate in system implementations or migrations.
