Job summary

Commit is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a growing Data Engineering and Analytics department in Warsaw. You will design and develop advanced data solutions with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform and modern GCP data technologies.

You will work across the full data lifecycle—from architecture and data modeling to pipeline development, data platforms, analytics, and production deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer, required.
• Hands-on experience building data solutions on GCP.
• Experience with data modeling, orchestration, and large-scale processing.
• Strong Python skills for pipelines and ETL/ELT.
• High SQL proficiency is mandatory.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and lakehouse concepts.
• Experience with dbt, Dataform, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git and IaC practices.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving.
• Ability to learn new tech and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data solutions on GCP.
• Lead technical design and implementation of customer data projects.
• Translate business requirements into data architectures.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, and cloud warehouses.
• Design data models and integration for batch and real-time workloads.
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Choose technologies based on performance, security, and cost.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, governance, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, DevOps, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Participate in analytics, AI, and ML solution development where relevant.
