Job summary

DOU Polska is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our expanding Data Engineering and Analytics team in Warsaw. You will design and implement advanced data solutions with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform and modern data technologies.

You will manage the full data lifecycle—from architecture and modeling to pipeline development, data platforms, analytics, and deployment—collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable data products.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
Hands-on experience developing data solutions on GCP.
Strong SQL and Python development skills.
Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouses and Lakehouses.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Dataform, or similar.
Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable data solutions on GCP.
Lead the technical design and implementation of customer data projects.
Translate business requirements into effective data architectures.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, Data Lakes, Lakehouses, and cloud-based Data Warehouses.
Design data models and integration processes for Batch and real-time workloads.
Handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Choose technologies based on performance, security, cost.
Implement data quality, monitoring, governance, and orchestration.
Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, DevOps, analysts, and stakeholders.
Contribute to analytics, AI, and ML initiatives where relevant.
