Job summary

SwingDev—a hippo company, the Polish branch of Hippo Insurance, is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer (frontend leaning) to join a fast-growing InsurTech product team. You’ll own features end-to-end in a cross-functional squad, working on React frontends and Node.js backends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience building web apps across the stack.
• Strong depth in React and Node.js with TypeScript.
• Production services design and shipping experience.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Security-conscious and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Design and build user-facing features end to end (React frontend, Node.js backend, and BFF layers).
• Own technical direction and break down large problems into increments.
• Partner with Product and Design early; shape scope before coding.
• Support reliable databases and APIs for real-time decision-making.
• Deploy software using Kubernetes and serverless (Lambda) tooling.
• Investigate production issues and implement timely fixes.
• Maintain strong security practices and data protection.
• Implement robust automated tests across the pyramid.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and provide code review feedback.
• Take ownership and make meaningful contributions across the project.
