Job summary

Esurance in Poland is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to build scalable cloud-native apps with React and TypeScript. You will design and implement microservices and micro-frontend architectures in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

The role requires a 50/50 frontend/backend split, collaboration in a hybrid setup, and in-person Poland meetings. Fluent English is required; MSc in CS and 7–10 years of JS/TS experience are expected.

Qualifications

• MSc Computer Science or similar.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React + a modern SSR framework (React Router v7 / Remix / Next.js).
• Strong testing skills with Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook interactions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in refinement sessions with product and tech teams to ensure feature clarity and feasibility.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable web APIs using Node.js and microservices architecture principles.
• Develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces with React and TypeScript.
• Work closely with Product Owners to clarify feature requirements and ensure business context is well-understood.
• Align feature architecture with Tech Leads to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Ensure features meet the Definition of Done with robust test coverage (unit, integration, E2E).
• Support incident response and production issue resolution.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to knowledge sharing in technical best practices.

We’re seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a passion for building scalable, cloud-native applications using modern JavaScript technologies. In this hands‑on role, you’ll collaborate with our product development team to design and implement microservices and micro‑frontend architectures, ensuring high performance, usability, and maintainability.

This role offers a 50/50 split between frontend and backend development, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment, takes ownership, and enjoys mentoring teammates. Poland‑based role offers remote flexibility, but we value in‑person collaboration. Our team meets in Poland for at least one week each quarter, so we request all applicants to be located in Poland. This is not a globally remote role. Poland residency is required. The contract form is Umowa o Pracę (brutto).

Essential Qualifications (Must‑Have's):

• MSc Computer Science or similar
• 7 – 10 years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React + a modern SSR framework (React Router v7 / Remix / Next.js) (frontend) and Node.js (backend).
• Strong testing skills (Vitest, Playwright, and Storybook interaction tests/component‑driven).

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Pulumi / infrastructure‑as‑code).
• Agile/DDD experience in cross‑functional teams.

Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills

• Clear communication with technical/non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem‑solving.
• Languages: Fluent English (required); German, Polish, Ukrainian (all nice‑to‑have).
