Job summary

SwingDev—a hippo company in Poland is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer (frontend leaning) to build and own features across React frontend and Node.js backend. You’ll work in a cross-functional team with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers, with real influence over what we build and how we build it.

You should have at least five years of hands-on web development, strong API and system design skills, and comfort working across time zones with US teams.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on web development experience.
• Strong React and Node.js fullstack capabilities.
• Experience with API design, microservices, and system design patterns.
• Proficient in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).
• Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with US teams.
• Willingness to mentor engineers and lead discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build user-facing features with React and Node.js.
• Own end-to-end feature development from problem to production.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape scope before coding.
• Maintain reliable databases and APIs for real-time decisions.
• Deploy software using Kubernetes and serverless tech.
• Investigate production issues and implement fixes.
• Emphasize security in all work.
• Write robust automated tests.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and review code.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term direction.
