Ledgebrook is an InsurTech MGA modernizing specialty insurance with cutting-edge technology. We seek a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to own multiple stack areas and drive features from concept to production.

You will collaborate across product, design, and engineering to deliver robust frontend and backend components using Python and Node.js, implement RESTful APIs, and ensure code quality through automated tests and reviews. Join a small, growing team with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with full stack development.
• Ability to gather business requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Strong data modeling skills based on business use cases.
• Code for maintainability and testability with CI/CD in mind.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipelines, Jenkins).
• Strong communication and time management, ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop features and enhance applications.
• Design and implement frontend and backend components using Python and JavaScript (Node.js).
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services as needed.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and standards.
• Implement automated tests and ensure high code quality through reviews and CI.
• Optimize performance and scalability to handle growing user demand.
• Explore use of LLMs to boost underwriter productivity.
• Debug production issues with modern tooling and processes.
• Help set direction for the growing engineering team.
