Job summary

Stackd in Poland is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and maintain scalable server-side logic for web applications. You will build APIs, work with databases, and ensure security and performance.

You will collaborate with frontend teams, use Git for version control, and contribute to documentation while delivering robust, scalable systems using Java, Node.js, and React/Next.js integrations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a similar back-end role.
• Proficiency in Java server-side programming.
• Strong understanding of React/Next.js core principles and security.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• English level at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic and APIs.
• Building React/Next.js based applications and integrating with back-end services.
• Working with relational and NoSQL databases, optimizing schemas.
• Implementing security best practices and conducting security audits.
• Collaborating with front-end teams, QA, and docs teams; maintaining code quality.
