Job summary

Jit is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join an international engineering team on a large-scale, cloud-based fintech initiative. You will shape scalable backend services using Python and Node.js while working across frontend and backend domains in a dynamic, international environment.

The role involves event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and distributed systems patterns. English communication is essential, and the team values growth, knowledge sharing, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer, including hands‑on experience with Python and Node.js.
• Strong full‑stack engineering experience across backend and frontend development.
• Experience designing and developing event‑driven systems.
• Hands‑on experience with React and/or Next.js.
• Experience with Kafka and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous communication.
• Experience with state machines and distributed systems patterns such as Saga, Outbox and Idempotency.
• Understanding of authorization flows, ledger and settlement processes.
• Good communication skills in English (min. B2 level).
