Job summary

Awin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on Publisher Web, enabling publishers and creators to discover advertisers, join programmes, and track performance. This is a full-stack role covering Angular UI, API design, Java backend services, and AWS infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Product, UX, and other engineering teams within the Publisher Tribe, mentoring peers and driving quality across the delivery lifecycle using AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience delivering full-stack features end to end.
• Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid API design skills including RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, versioning, error handling.
• Hands-on with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience using AI coding agents in daily workflow.
• Strong English communication across locations.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve publisher web applications in Angular on a micro-frontend architecture.
• Design clear, consistent and well-documented APIs that serve web and mobile clients.
• Build, maintain and operate Java backend services.
• Own the infrastructure your services run on in AWS, using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Migrate legacy publisher functionality to the new platform, untangle shared publisher/advertiser apps and help decommission what is no longer needed.
• Use AI agents across the whole delivery lifecycle: coding, reviews, testing, migrations, documentation, and contribute reusable AI skills, templates and practices for the wider team.
• Work with Product and UX to shape solutions, not just execute requirements; challenge scope and find pragmatic paths to value.
• Raise the quality bar through code reviews, automated testing, security, performance and accessibility.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely fashion.
• Mentor other engineers and share knowledge across teams.
