Job summary

Spyrosoft Ltd in Wrocław is seeking an experienced FPGA engineer to develop high‑performance digital systems for defence and industrial applications. You will implement and verify RTL designs, work across hardware and software teams, and help ensure regulatory compliance and security requirements in complex projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, with emphasis on SoC FPGA platforms and DSP techniques.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in FPGA development.
• Good knowledge of VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with FPGA development environments such as Xilinx Vivado, AMD Vitis, Intel Quartus, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of digital design principles and RTL development.
• Experience with SoC FPGA platforms (Zynq, MPSoC, SoC FPGA).
• Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
• Experience with embedded software development in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Familiarity with interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe, and DDR memories.
• Ability to work on-site in the Wrocław office.
• Willingness to work under a Contract of Employment.
• Willingness to undergo security clearance verification for defence projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA solutions using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Implement, simulate, verify, and debug digital hardware designs.
• Participate in system architecture definition and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams.
• Develop and maintain FPGA design documentation and artefacts.
• Perform timing analysis, optimization, and debugging.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration, and validation.
• Participate in reviews and engineering discussions.
• Contribute to reliable, high-performance embedded and digital systems for regulated industries.
• Follow quality, security, and compliance requirements for defence projects.
