Job summary

Merck in Poland is seeking an Associate Director FP&A to serve as a senior finance business partner for the Central and Eastern Europe Animal Health Commercial organization, focusing on Alliance Markets and distributor-based regions.

You will be responsible for preparing monthly operating results, forecasts, and reports, partnering with the commercial team across Ukraine, West Balkans, Baltic States and Bulgaria to drive sustainable growth, profitability and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Finance experience.
• Advanced level spreadsheet skills and SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong business acumen and working knowledge of applications/business processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently managing multiple projects.
• Highly engaged, collaborative team player with strong communication and organization skills.
• Business-level English skills (speaking and writing).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-border CEE environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and support financial planning processes by providing timely analysis to commercial leads.
• Deliver management reporting and present results to the leadership team.
• Track performance against forecasts to understand the drivers of performance.
• Evaluate cluster and country financial results to optimize resources and investments.
• Act as trusted partner supporting optimal business decisions with understanding of end-to-end operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and markets to align local market finance and business objectives.
• Be a point of contact for diverse ad-hoc finance questions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics and integrity.
• Lead projects and initiatives to drive efficiencies.
• Perform pricing, deal, and profitability analysis to support sustainable margin development.
