Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to design, build and scale agentic AI applications. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into ML solutions, supporting the full lifecycle from problem framing to evaluation.

The role is hybrid, with locations in Helsinki, Stockholm, Gdańsk/Gdynia/Warsaw, Copenhagen, and more as needed. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers and product stakeholders to deliver impactful AI in a regulated

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python with 3+ years building and deploying AI/ML in production.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for AI/ML and data services at scale.
• Deep understanding of ML and statistics to translate business problems into models.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and scale transformative AI applications from concept to production.
• Translate business problems into well-defined ML problems with engineering teams.
• Support full ML lifecycle: framing, hypotheses, modeling, experiments, evaluation.
• Develop agentic AI solutions for various business applications.
• Explore emerging AI methods and share actionable insights.
