Job summary

Frontex is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to model and document end-to-end value chains, processes, and data. You will elicit needs, support product owners, and maintain requirements through the lifecycle while aligning with ERP deployments in large-scale projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze systems, design improvements, and craft detailed business cases, roadmaps, and transition plans for process excellence.

Qualifications

• English C1 proficiency required.
• 5+ years IT-related professional experience.
• 3+ years of project experience in a similar profile.
• At least one certification from CCBA or equivalent, or UML/BPM 2 qualifications, or equivalent.
• Completed at least one full software solution lifecycle.
• Knowledge of BPMN notation for business process modelling.
• Knowledge of requirements elicitation and analysis.
• Knowledge of UML notations (diagrams etc.).
• Proficiency in modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect, or similar.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience as a Business Analyst on a large-scale project (>1 year, budget > €1 million) deploying ERP.
• Experience analysing Logistics, Warehouse Management, Asset Management, Fleet Management, Financial Management, Legal, HR, and Project Management.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies: SharePoint 2019/Subscription Edition/Online, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse.
• Experience with ServiceNow: Enterprise Asset Management, Strategic Portfolio Management, Customer Service Management; on-prem and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Modeling and documenting value chains/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities, and data.
• Eliciting and analyzing business needs, requirements, and user stories.
• Supporting business experts and product owners during requirements definition and software development.
• Maintaining and tracking requirements and user stories throughout the systems lifecycle.
• Transferring business, user, and technical needs into business requirements specifications.
• Mapping business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features.
• Analyzing available systems.
• Supporting the identification of potential solution options.
• Supporting the preparation of business cases and feasibility studies.
• Contributing to systems design, testing, quality assurance, and change management.
• Designing, validating, and testing business processes to achieve business process excellence.
• Taking a holistic approach to planning and managing continuous business process improvement programmes.
• Coaching Frontex staff on upcoming changes and ensuring plans are in place for developing new skills and implementing process changes.
• Collaborating with owners of end-to-end processes to continuously identify process improvement opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities for business process improvements that lead to improved customer service, lower costs, or higher revenue through effectiveness and efficiency gains.
• Communicating project objectives, business cases, requirements, and scope to stakeholders to support rapid responses to business needs.
• Quantitatively analyzing business processes and performing cost-benefit and what-if analyses.
• Planning organizational change processes.
• Implementing performance monitoring systems for business processes.
• Supporting business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g., sector strategies and implementation plans).
• Supporting the definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures.
