Job summary

UpcoMinds is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive the analysis, design and delivery of enterprise-level software solutions. You will translate business needs into technical requirements and support the full SDLC with stakeholders, developers and QA teams.

The role emphasises UML modeling, architecture design and collaboration within an Agile environment, with hybrid work (3 days in office per week) and competitive compensation in Poland.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven professional experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or Systems Development.
• At least 8 years of combined post-secondary education and professional experience.
• Level 6 degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• C1 level of English (CEFR).
• Participation in at least 4 enterprise-level projects across full solution lifecycle.
• Experience creating process documentation, system documentation and analytical reports.
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Architect (Sparx Systems).
• Agile/Scrum experience in software development teams.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with managers, end users and stakeholders to understand objectives, user needs and system requirements.
• Translate business, user and technical needs into clear and actionable technical specifications.
• Gather, analyse, document and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
• Analyse existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate technical solutions and provide recommendations.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses for system upgrades and technology changes.
• Create and maintain HLA, HLD and TDD documents, system models and diagrams.
• Use UML to model processes, systems, components and interactions.
• Define architectural elements and contribute to data and application design.
• Translate requirements into technical designs and guide developers.
• Participate in prototyping, design, testing, QA, change management and deployment.
• Analyse and optimise solutions for performance, security, scalability and quality.
• Estimate development effort and timelines with development teams.
• Define and promote software development and documentation standards.
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to junior analysts.
