Job summary

UpcoMinds, an experienced IT company with 28 years of experience, seeks a Business Analyst to contribute to analysis, design and delivery of enterprise-level software solutions. The role involves translating business needs into technical requirements and collaborating with managers, developers and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

The candidate will work with Microsoft technologies, create architecture documents, and participate in system design and deployment with a focus on performance,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven professional experience in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis.
• At least 8 years of combined post-secondary education and professional experience.
• Proven participation in at least 4 enterprise-level projects.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with managers, end users and stakeholders to understand business objectives, user needs and system requirements.
• Translate business, user and technical needs into clear and actionable technical specifications.
• Gather, analyse, document and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
• Analyse existing systems, processes and technologies and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identify and evaluate potential technical solutions and provide recommendations.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis for potential system upgrades and technology changes.
• Create and maintain HLA, HLD and TDD documents, system models and technical specifications.
• Use UML to model processes, systems, components and interactions.
• Translate requirements into technical designs for software developers and engineers.
• Participate in prototyping, system design, testing and deployment.
• Analyse and optimise solutions for performance, security, scalability and quality.
• Estimate development effort and timelines with development teams.
• Define and promote software development standards.
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to junior analysts.
