Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks an Enterprise Architect to lead AI security transformation for strategic customers, providing technical advisory, design, and consultancy to influence business strategies and maximize value.

You will define AI security architectures, assess environments against security and risk requirements, and deliver guidance for complex AI and multi-cloud deployments across Global Services, Sales, and Presales teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security architecture, consulting or systems engineering with direct customer delivery.
• Deep knowledge in at least one area: app/API security, workload security, microsegmentation, IAM and multi-stack integration.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM and agent systems; tool-to-tool protocols such as MCP.
• Knowledge of AI risks: prompt injection, tool abuse, identity sprawl, data exfiltration, model supply chain.
• Excellent written English for reference architectures and assessments for CISO audiences.
• Willing to state uncertainty clearly as the field evolves.

We provide advisory and implementation services in AI security, agentic systems, runtime protection, and multi-cloud architecture. Lead AI Security Transformation

You will provide technical advisory services and technical design and consultancy to key decision makers. This will influence your customers' business strategies and maximize the value they receive. You will be the lead on cutting edge and emerging technologies. Sharing expertise from the wider market and across the organization.

As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Defining and evolving AI security architectures and standards covering agents, workloads, identities, runtime protection, and east-west containment.

• Assessing customer AI environments against security, regulatory, and risk requirements, clearly communicating coverage and confidence levels.

• Delivering security-focused consulting, architecture, and implementation guidance for complex AI and multi-cloud environments.

• Designing and evaluating controlled frontier AI use cases, measuring quality, efficiency, cost, and outcomes against existing approaches.

• Advising Global Services, Sales, Presales, and customers on AI security strategy, emerging technologies, and complex technical challenges.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8+ years of experience in security architecture, security consulting or security systems engineering, with direct customer delivery.

• Have in-depth knowledge of at least one area: application and API security, workload security, microsegmentation, IAM and multi-stack integration expertise

• Have hands-on experience building with LLM and agent systems: tool and function design, agent-to-tool protocols such as MCP, retrieval, and evaluation

• Have working knowledge of AI-specific risks, including prompt injection, tool abuse, identity sprawl, data exfiltration, and model supply chain risks.

• Demonstrate excellent written English, with the ability to produce clear, precise, and compelling reference architectures and customer-facing assessments for CISO-level audiences.

• Be willing to state uncertainty clearly and openly. This work is still evolving, and confident but incorrect answers can be costly.
