Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to empower the EMEA Sales team with expert energy storage solutions and compelling proposals. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, support contract negotiations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey projects.

Ideal candidates bring engineering degrees, 2+ years in the power industry, and strong CRM/engineering tools experience (Salesforce, CAD). Travel across the EMEA region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience within the power industry.
• Strong ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges with clear communication of outcomes.
• Experience with offer management and/or technical contract review.
• Experience working with CRM platforms and engineering tools such as Salesforce and CAD.
• Proven experience in energy storage, solar, power generation, or industrial balance of plant environments (including EPC projects).
• Understanding of local standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and ability to prioritise multiple activities.
• Demonstrated ownership mentality with drive to close opportunities and contribute to Fluence's objectives.
• Excellent coordination, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative, informal environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the EMEA Sales teams to translate customer requirements into optimized energy storage solution proposals.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through the sales process and supporting negotiations.
• Develop and enhance sales tools and materials to drive business success.
• Lead evaluation and selection of installation contractor proposals for turnkey delivery.
• Collaborate with Sales to navigate technical aspects of customer contracts.
• Capture customer requirements to inform product roadmaps and system designs.
• Ensure designs meet local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify technical deviations and coordinate cross-functionally to resolve them.
• Travel across EMEA to engage customers, partners, and stakeholders.
