Job summary

Google's Embedded Systems team in Poland seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and maintain the full software stack for Pixel devices and future Android-based products. You will work on low-level kernel, device drivers, and platform bring-up across the Android ecosystem.

The role requires strong C/C++ skills, 5 years of software development, and 2+ years in Linux kernel/Android; collaboration with hardware and software teams; in-person interviews in Warsaw or Kraków.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and C.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• 2 years of experience working with the Linux kernel and Android systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain the whole system software stack for Pixel devices.
• Build Google SoC and the in-market devices system software kernel sustaining.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the software quality.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
