Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer III, Embedded/Firmware in Warszawa to contribute to low-level systems on pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.

You will develop, integrate, and optimize initialization sequences, and work closely with hardware teams to drive storage performance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of embedded software experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree), including C/C++ coding, Linux kernel interactions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate initialization sequences and low-level software for UFS across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
• Write and tune code across the Linux kernel and bootloaders to manage complex SoC interactions, including hardware clocks and power domains.
• Investigate, triage, and fix low-level firmware interactions, power state regressions, and latency bottlenecks at the hardware-software boundary.
