Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Embedded Systems/Firmware to join the Pixel team in Poland.

The role focuses on developing and sustaining the system software stack for Pixel devices, including low‑level hardware interactions and device driver integration. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of C/C++ software development, with 3 years on embedded OS and 2 years on Linux kernel/Android, and will collaborate across teams to deliver high‑quality,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in C++ and C.
3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
2 years of experience working with the Linux kernel and Android systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and sustain the whole system software stack for Pixel devices.
Build Google SoC and the in-market devices system software kernel sustaining.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve the software quality.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
