Job summary

Accenture Poland is seeking a senior Software Safety Architect to lead the safety framework for an advanced SoC software platform, merging low-level software with hypervisor-based virtualization such as QNX. You will translate system requirements into robust software solutions and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure compliant, reliable safety-driven designs.

The role emphasizes strong experience in ISO 26262, functional safety, and hands-on work with safety-relevant platforms,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software safety architecture, functional safety engineering, or a similar role.
• Deep understanding of ISO 26262, particularly Part 6 (Software Level) and Part 4 (System-Level Development).
• Hands-on experience with safety-relevant SoC platforms and hardware safety features such as MPU/MMU, ECC, lockstep cores, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with hypervisor-based architectures, including QNX Hypervisor, Xen, or similar solutions used in safety-critical or mixed-criticality environments.
• Strong low-level software background covering bootloaders, bare-metal development, RTOS environments, or operating system internals.
• Ability to translate system-level safety requirements into practical and implementable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the software safety architecture for a complex SoC software platform, covering low-level software components, hypervisor integration, bootloaders, and operating system layers.
• Derive and allocate safety requirements from system level down to software components while supporting continuous improvement of safety-related processes and solutions.
• Design and implement safety mechanisms supporting freedom from interference (FFI) across partitions, processor cores, and privilege levels, while expanding your expertise in safety-critical embedded platforms.
• Own the software safety architecture within hypervisor-based virtualization environments, including QNX Hypervisor integrations, and drive ongoing development of scalable safety concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on hardware-software interfaces, safe boot processes, integrity verification, startup and shutdown sequences, and safety analyses while continuously enhancing platform reliability and compliance.
