Job summary

Luxoft Germany is seeking an experienced embedded Linux software engineer to design and optimize middleware, platform libraries, and system services for embedded Linux platforms in Poland.

You will collaborate with firmware, cloud, and application teams to define interfaces, improve performance, and ensure reliability across SoCs and hardware. The role involves hands-on development, debugging, and contributing to architecture discussions that shape platform evolution.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS, EE or related field.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded and system-level development.
• Strong Linux internals experience (IPC, drivers, kernel/user space).
• Experience with Bash or Python for build/automation/testing.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop middleware components, platform libraries, and system services for embedded Linux platforms.
• Optimize inter-process communication, data flow, and system resource utilization to improve performance.
• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring reliability and scalability of embedded platforms.
• Collaborate with firmware, cloud, and application teams to define platform interfaces and APIs.
• Implement and maintain platform-level features such as logging, security frameworks, and configuration management.
• Debug complex system issues across middleware, OS, and hardware layers.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and provide technical guidance for platform evolution.
