Job summary

Luxoft Poland is seeking a Real-Time Developer to lead runtime and integration work, focusing on a Windows data pipeline bridging kernel-mode components with a user-space ML inference runtime. You will implement high-throughput paths, robust IPC, and a scalable SDK layer for security software partners.

The role requires 4+ years in systems programming, strong Windows kernel expertise, and the ability to work on-site in Gdańsk. Collaboration with ML and hardware teams will be essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in systems programming using C or C++; Rust is a plus with strong low-level background.
• Hands-on experience with Windows kernel programming concepts and driver-to-user-space communication.
• Experience developing, debugging, or validating Windows kernel-mode drivers or related low-level components.
• Experience building real-time, high-throughput, low-latency software.
• Knowledge of high-performance IPC/concurrency mechanisms such as shared memory, ring buffers, or lock-free queues.
• Strong debugging and profiling across kernel-mode and user-space Windows components.
• Ability to design production-oriented software with robust error handling and diagnostics.
• Experience writing unit/integration tests for systems software.
• Ability to analyze latency and CPU overhead and optimize runtime performance.
• Willingness to work on-site in Gdańsk and document architecture/interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines in Windows environment.
• Develop reliable Windows kernel-user space communication mechanisms.
• Maintain real-time inference integration layer with model loading and execution.
• Integrate ML runtimes such as ONNX/OpenVINO as applicable.
• Create a stable SDK/API layer for partner integration and documentation.
• Ensure API lifecycle: registration, compatibility, versioning, error handling.
• Attribution of telemetry per process/thread and performance profiling.
• Optimize throughput, latency, memory usage, and CPU overhead.
• Develop unit, integration, regression, load, and stress tests.
• Collaborate with hardware validation and ML teams; work closely with on-site hardware labs.
