Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon EKS and hybrid cloud foundations to accelerate Data & AI initiatives. You will design, deploy, and operate production-grade Kubernetes clusters, automate deployments, and enforce security and governance across cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities include auto-scaling with Karpenter, managing Bottlerocket-based nodes, EMR-on-EKS workloads, and GPU pools for AI/LLM workloads.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Platform Engineering/DevOps with enterprise Kubernetes (EKS).
• Deep EKS knowledge including Hybrid Nodes, Cilium VXLAN, and hybrid networking.
• Experience with GitOps (Argo CD) and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with EMR-on-EKS for Spark runtimes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and maintain production-grade EKS clusters across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Implement dynamic node autoscaling with Karpenter and Bottlerocket OS across hybrid setups.
• Configure EMR-on-EKS for distributed data processing workloads.
• Manage GPU node pools for AI/ML workloads and real-time inference pipelines.
• Enforce security, governance, and compliance via policy engines (OPA/Kyverno) and IAM controls.
• Build IaC templates with Terraform/AWS CDK and automate via GitLab CI/CD.
