Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, in Kraków to build APIs, services, and data-access layers for AI/ML platforms. You will work across teams to create reliable, secure data workflows and scalable systems that power customer-facing and internal applications.

You will design, implement, and operate backend services using GraphQL and REST, with strong emphasis on testing, observability, and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Significant contributions to production backend systems, APIs, or services.
• Experience with agentic development and deliberate exploration to deliver projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve reliable backend services, GraphQL and REST APIs, and integrations.
• Design and maintain clear API contracts and data-access patterns.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to deliver dependable, scalable behavior.
• Build asynchronous and event-driven processing for improved workflows and resilience.
• Improve testing, observability, performance, and production readiness.
• Own substantial work from implementation through deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, design, and data teams to deliver capabilities.
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering practices.
