Job summary

State Street is seeking a Depositary Operations Specialist to work under supervision of a Manager and engage in projects and analyses relating to the technical side of the business. You will act as a process SME, providing support to the Depositary Supervisor and teams to ensure deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in line with client SLAs and quality standards.

Our Depositary team protects fund assets and ensures controls, overseeing valuation and cash flows.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English - written and spoken.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in fund accounting/alternative investments.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or STEM.
• Knowledge of AIFMD, CSSF regulations would be an advantage.
• Geneva, Investran knowledge is considered an asset.
• Experience in creating Excel reports.
• Python, Access, VBA, SQL, Xceptor knowledge – must have.

Responsibilities

• Actively reviews and prepares Depositary tasks related to safekeeping, cash flow monitoring and oversight.
• Liaise with clients and supporting departments to obtain inputs for service delivery and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist Manager in organizing the team and ensuring procedures and controls are followed.
• Identify issues in service delivery and carry out corrective actions; track progress in the issues log.
• Develop and streamline depositary controls; work with SMEs to standardize processes.
• Participate as technical SME in development, testing and implementation of new systems/products; report progress.
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive efficiency improvements using lean approaches.
