Job summary

EY GDS in Katowice is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with Databricks to join our global data platform team. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines and data warehouses across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments, collaborating with experts worldwide.

You should have at least 4 years in data engineering, hands-on Databricks experience, strong SQL and Python, and a solid cloud/data warehouse background. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in data engineering, including 3 years with big data.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Solid background in data warehousing, data pipelines, distributed data processing, software engineering and data modeling
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Experience with at least one public cloud: Azure, AWS or GCP
• Strong design skills for relational databases and non-relational storage
• Good understanding of data marts, data warehouses, data lakes and data mesh
• Experience with Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban), DevOps and CI/CD principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in big data environments
• Very good English, spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data platforms that help our clients and business partners make better decisions
• Deliver robust solutions on Databricks and modern data warehouses
• Build and maintain reliable, well-tested data pipelines
• Model data for data marts, data warehouses and data lakes
• Make sure data solutions are high quality, performant and cost-efficient
• Apply DevOps and CI/CD practices to data solutions
