Job summary

EY GDS Poland is seeking an experienced Databricks Architect to lead cloud-based data solution design and implementation. The role involves shaping architecture for large-scale data projects and working with a global team on international initiatives.

The candidate will leverage Databricks, SQL, Python and pySpark, and will engage with Azure or AWS cloud services in a dynamic EY environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional, hands-on experience building complex solutions.
• 3+ years in an Architect role including designing and building complex data solutions.
• 4+ years of Databricks experience covering engineering, governance and security.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure or AWS cloud products and services.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and pySpark.
• Knowledge of Databricks novelties such as Lakebridge, Lakeflow, Lakebase, Agent Bricks, etc.
• Understanding data fabric, data mesh, data vault.
• Ability to facilitate design discussions and communicate architectural decisions.
• Experience in creating reliable solution plans with business and multi-disciplinary teams including cost estimation and delivery approaches.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations and new technologies.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• English: C1
