Job summary

Webellian Sp.z o o in Warsaw seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join a large-scale data transformation for a leading insurer. You will help build a Central Data Platform enabling analytics, reporting, and insights across multiple sources.

You will work with an international team of 80+ specialists to design scalable pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, dbt, SQL, and Terraform on Azure, while ensuring data quality and security. Hybrid work and on-site days in Warsaw are offered.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on Databricks experience.
• Strong Python and PySpark knowledge.
• Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong SQL and relational DB knowledge.
• Experience with data architecture, modeling, and scalable platforms.
• Experience with dbt.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and GitHub.
• Understanding of data security and governance.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a large-scale Central Data Platform architecture.
• Build end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Integrate data from multiple systems into a unified platform.
• Design scalable data models aligned with analytics needs.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Databricks, Python, PySpark, and dbt.
• Prepare reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and BI.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, security and performance.
• Develop reusable data components and standardize workflows.
• Support automated deployment and infrastructure via GitHub and Terraform.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts and BI developers.
