Job summary
State Street's Charles River Development (CRD) team in Kraków seeks a seasoned database engineer to contribute to database design, development and administration within an agile scrum environment.
You will design scalable database solutions, optimize performance, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with software, QA and product teams to modernize our platform. Hybrid work with 3 days in the office is required.
Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience with enterprise applications backed by RDBMS or Snowflake.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot database issues.
- Proficiency in SQL performance tuning for MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, high-performance database solutions.
- Collaborate with scrum teams to ensure data models meet requirements.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation of database designs and processes.
- Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support applications.
- Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering to define performance test strategy and tooling.
- Ensure database security, access controls, encryption, and auditing.
