Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer in Poland to join its Data Practice. You will work on diverse data projects across industries, implementing ingestion pipelines, processing data with Spark and cloud services, and collaborating with data scientists and IT professionals to deliver scalable data platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in Python/Scala/Java, experience with Spark/Databricks and Snowflake, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience with Big Data technologies.
Strong programming skills in Python/Scala/Java.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data warehousing concepts.
Excellent written and spoken English (B2+).

Responsibilities

Implement data ingestion from diverse sources (RDBMS, REST APIs, flat files, streams).
Research and utilize Big Data technologies for ingestion and processing.
Process and transform data using Spark and cloud services.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals.
Ensure data quality, security and governance across platforms.
Develop dashboards and validate data outputs.
Provide thought leadership on Big Data best practices.
