Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on data science experience in modeling or quantitative research.
Expert-level proficiency in R with tidyverse and data.table.
Strong knowledge of applied statistics and model evaluation methods.
Ability to document algorithms clearly and explain technical concepts to leadership.

Responsibilities

Own and analyze core statistical models and algorithms in R.
Conduct rigorous statistical testing to improve model performance.
Design robust solutions to modernize existing functionality.
Develop new analytical features and predictive models from scratch.
Refactor R code into production-ready frameworks and maintain quality.
Document code and promote best practices for version control and testing.
Collaborate with Data Engineering to deploy models and translate results for non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
