Job summary

S&P Global Energy is seeking a Senior Database Engineer in Gdansk, Poland to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and database architectures supporting both operational and analytical workloads. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, performance, and accessibility, leveraging cloud platforms and modern API frameworks.

The role emphasizes building APIs, data services, and automation to improve efficiency and reliability across the data platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data or database engineering.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and relational databases.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and database architectures to support operational and analytical workloads.
• Build and support data ingestion, transformation, and storage using SQL, Python, cloud platforms, and distributed processing technologies.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Architecture teams to address data and database-related challenges.
• Develop APIs, data services, and automation frameworks to improve data accessibility and operational efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance data platform reliability and observability.
