Job summary

Sopra Steria Polska is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our automotive-sector client team in Poland. You will work in a multinational environment (Germany, Poland) on data pipelines, infrastructure, and AWS-based migrations.

The role requires a strong Python/SQL background and comfort with IaC and collaboration across teams. The position is based in Poland with commuting to Katowice or Gdańsk; travel abroad may be required.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
Proficiency in Python.
Hands-on experience with SQL and ability to write complex queries.
Basic knowledge of data related AWS Services like: S3, Glue, Athena.
Good communication skills and a team player.
Experience with Agile ways of working.
English B2/C1.
Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice or Gdańsk.
EU Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Work with a team of developers and data engineers on data engineering and infrastructure tasks.
Create workflows and jobs; maintain and debug data pipelines and infrastructure.
Migrate to or update AWS services and perform regression testing or automation of repetitive tasks.
Collaborate with others and review code in an IaC environment.
Take responsibility for what you code/develop/automate.
