Job summary
GFT Technologies, Kraków, is seeking a senior data engineer to lead technical delivery of data migration and engineering initiatives. You will design scalable data pipelines in GCP, guide the engineering pod, promote development standards and support the team throughout the Agile development process.
You will mentor engineers, work with Analysts to interpret requirements, and participate in planning ceremonies.
Qualifications
- Senior level: 10+ years in software design, data engineering, Agile/DevOps environments.
- Proven design experience with PySpark or Scala.
- Hands-on with GCP and building data pipelines.
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Hive, ETL frameworks, and REST APIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery of data migration and engineering initiatives.
- Design scalable data pipelines in GCP using PySpark/Scala.
- Mentor engineers and oversee the engineering pod.
- Guide environment setup, arch and cloud design patterns.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to interpret requirements.
- Support production environments and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in planning, sprints, and retrospectives.
- Explore AI tools to improve workflows.
