Job summary

Talentedge, a leading fintech, seeks a Data Engineering Team Lead in Kraków to own and drive a global data platform transformation, guiding teams in London, India and Poland. You will set engineering standards and steer delivery of resilient data capabilities.

You will lead batch and streaming pipelines on GCP, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Compliance, Marketing and Data Science to deliver trusted analytics-ready data for AI/ML initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating data pipelines in a large-scale environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people-management capabilities.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of critical batch and real-time data pipelines, including Kafka workloads.
• Providing technical direction and maintaining high engineering standards across the squad.
• Coaching and developing Data Engineers, including performance management and career development.
• Driving data quality through data contracts, observability and SLA/SLO monitoring.
• Working closely with stakeholders across Compliance, Marketing and Data Science.
• Managing delivery commitments, risks and engineering performance metrics.
• Contributing to the evolution of the organisation's GCP-based data platform.
