Job summary

Astek Polska is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Engineering Competence Center in Warsaw. You will build and optimize Snowflake-based ETL/ELT pipelines for Finance data, collaborate with finance experts, analysts, and frontend teams, and develop REST APIs for downstream consumers.

You should have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, and hands-on Snowflake experience. The role offers a cloud-first stack and opportunities for growth in an international setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with hands-on Snowflake in production.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformations.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data blending solutions.
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, cost management, and optimisation.
• Experience with REST APIs and CI/CD for data workloads.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data products and connect them to project schemas; blend and materialize Finance datasets.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and orchestrators.
• Work with Snowflake features like Time Travel, materialized views, data sharing.
• Develop data models for Finance use cases; write SQL and Python for transformations.
• Create REST APIs for frontend and downstream consumers; support data contracts with teams.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and data lineage practices.
• Optimize Snowflake queries and manage performance and costs; contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Finance experts, analysts, UX designers, and engineers; mentor peers.
