Job summary

Astek Polska sp. z o.o. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a biotechnology-focused client. You will build global finance data solutions, blend data from multiple sources, and develop ETL/ELT workflows on Snowflake. You will collaborate with Finance experts, data analysts, and software engineers in an international environment.

You will design REST APIs and implement data quality checks, CI/CD, and data governance practices. Strong English (C1) and 5+ years in data engineering are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience in production.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Strong SQL skills and Python for data engineering.
• Knowledge of cloud data warehouses and cost management.
• Experience with Finance data like GL, P&L (advantage).
• Experience with GitHub and code reviews.
• Experience designing REST APIs and CI/CD for data workloads.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data products in ONEFIN and blend data to create Finance datasets.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Snowflake and schedulers.
• Work with Snowflake features: dynamic tables, streams, tasks, materialized views, data sharing, Time Travel.
• Build data models for Finance use cases and write SQL/Python for transformations.
• Develop functions and data processing logic and maintain APIs for frontend and consumers.
• Collaborate with frontend and full-stack teams to define data contracts and backend integration.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and data lineage practices.
• Optimize Snowflake queries and manage performance and costs.
• Build CI/CD processes for data pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar.
