Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center in Poland. You will design and build modern data platforms on Microsoft Fabric, integrating enterprise data sources and enabling advanced analytics and reporting.

The role focuses on Azure-based data solutions, data modeling, security, and performance optimization, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platform.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise-level platform for reporting and analytics.
• Work with structured data across finance, manufacturing, procurement, sales, and more.
• Design and implement scalable data solutions on Azure with Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT.
• Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure security best practices across the Azure architecture.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay up to date with Azure technologies and best practices.
