Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center, focusing on Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based data platforms. You will design, build, and maintain data solutions, integrating enterprise sources and enabling advanced analytics.

You will work with PySpark, Azure DWH, Data Lake, and ETL/ELT processes, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring security and compliance across the Azure stack. Fluency in Polish and residence in Poland are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platform.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required.
• Residing in Poland required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise platform for reporting and analytics.
• Work with structured data across finance, manufacturing, procurement, sales, and pricing.
• Design and implement scalable, secure data solutions on Azure using Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT.
• Create and maintain efficient data models and schemas for business needs.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across Azure architecture.
• Provide ongoing support for data-related issues and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay up to date with Azure technologies and best practices.
