Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center. You will design, build, and maintain modern data platforms on Microsoft Fabric within Azure, enabling advanced analytics and reporting across enterprise sources.

Lead data solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and stay current with Azure tech to drive scalable, secure data capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Azure data engineering and data platform.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, PySpark, Azure DWH, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and serverless computing in Azure.
• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain data solutions on an enterprise-level platform for reporting, applications, and analytics.
• Work with structured data across finance, manufacturing, procurement, sales & marketing, pricing.
• Design and implement scalable, secure data solutions on Azure using Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, ETL/ELT.
• Create and maintain data models and schemas to support business needs.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across the Azure architecture.
• Provide ongoing support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Stay up-to-date with Azure technologies and best practices.
