WPP Open Intelligence in Warsaw seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across the Open Intelligence platform. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions, improve data quality, observability, and performance.

The role requires 4+ years in data engineering, strong Python/Go/Scala wrangling, Spark, and cloud-native tech (GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong wrangling with Python, Go, or Scala.
• Experience with large-scale processing engines and cloud-native tools (Spark, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing frameworks.
• Develop reliable ETL/ELT workflows for analytics and operations.
• Build and optimize data models, storage, and integration for large datasets.
• Collaborate with software engineering, analytics, product, and platform teams.
• Improve data quality, observability, and performance across data systems.
• Support real-time and batch processing using cloud-native tech.
• Contribute to data platform architecture and engineering best practices.
• Implement monitoring, testing, and automation to reduce failures.
• Troubleshoot data and infra issues in distributed systems.
• Promote governance, security, and compliance across data environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative culture.
• Evaluate new tools and tech to enhance scalability and developer experience.
