Job summary

WPP is hiring a Data Engineer for their hybrid Warsaw team. The role focuses on building scalable data processing systems, leveraging Python/Go/Scala and Spark in a cloud-first environment.

You will design robust data pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate with product, analysts and data scientists across Open Intelligence. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of data engineering experience, strong software fundamentals, and experience with CI/CD, GCP, Terraform and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go or Scala.
• Experience with Spark or other large-scale processing engines.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control and testing best practices.
• Experience with GCP and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and propose technical solutions and review code.
• Collaborate with Product, analysts and data scientists to implement features.
• Design data governance and quality frameworks for reliable data production.
• Identify and address technical debt in the data platform.
• Explore new tools and technologies to move faster and smarter.
• Share knowledge in dedicated sessions and stand-ups.
