Job summary

Vention is seeking a Middle Data Engineer in Wroclaw, Poland. The role focuses on building scalable ETL pipelines and data architectures in cloud environments.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions and deliver dashboards for decision making. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL skills, Spark/PySpark experience, and familiarity with AWS or Azure Databricks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Solid knowledge of Spark/PySpark for distributed processing.
• Experience with AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda) or Azure Databricks.
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink) is a plus.
• Infrastructure knowledge (Kubernetes, Terraform) is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
• B2+ English, with experience communicating with English-speaking customers.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks).
• Integrate and manage diverse datasets ensuring accessibility and quality for analytics/ML.
• Design and maintain cloud-native, high-performance data architectures that scale with the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Analyze data and create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to uncover trends and support decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with latest cloud data technologies and best practices.
